So, it hit me that July is *this close* to ending. Whoa. I don't know about you, but this summer is not only flying by, but it hasn't truly felt like summer to me. Maybe I need more lazy days to float down the river, or sit on my front porch and watch the sunrise, or the face melting heat and humidity. Maybe all of the above. Who knows. But, I do know, and can tell you several things that I learned/re-learned over the weekend:
- I LOVE having friends visit! My friend Heather came down all the way from Baltimore to spend a few days here at Tucked Away Farm. She originally came down with me to house hunt last year, and we haven't been able to line our schedules up since. It finally worked out and we had so much fun!
- Never underestimate the power of persuasion. We went to Grace Estate winery on Friday, and managed to talk the band into playing more music after they had already packed up for the night. Dance party!
- We went to see Jurassic World yesterday. It made me want to re-watch Jurassic Park. But I couldn't believe all the subtle (and not so subtle) brand advertisements! We counted no less than 7.
- I'm enjoying this time off! I have a couple weddings starting back up in September ,and I am appreciating this down time to get caught up on editing!
How was your weekend?! What are your favourite day off activities?! Also, one more photo of my gorgeous friend, Heather!
