Happy Monday friends! We had quite a rainy weekend here in Virginia. Nicole and Thomas also tied the knot, and if rain on a wedding day is good luck, this sweet couple will have enough to pass down to several future generations. I can’t wait to share their big day with you all! In the meantime, here are a few lessons I learned (and re-learned) this past weekend
Never be too scared or too proud to ask for help. Seriously, just ask.
Things happen, like torrential downpours. And they happen at the most inconvenient of times. Like your wedding day. Roll with it.
Catching up and being present with old friends over puzzles and drinks is always better than therapy. Even if the majority of the time is spent in silence because you are so focused on completing that jigsaw!
When the priest tells you that you can come up on the altar during the ceremony to get the shots you need, you take full advantage of it!
TV shows have gotten even worse than I remember. I don't have a tv at my house, so I like to take advantage when staying in hotels. Ugh! What garbage!
Ice cream and popcorn are the best way to end an 11 hour wedding day. Seriously, it should a requirement.
Being inside the circle of a traditional Greek dance is one of the coolest experiences ever. They know how to dance, and they don't mess around!
I have fallen in love with the Canon 35mm 1.4. Seriously, my new bff.
And finally, don’t forget to SMILE and HAVE FUN! Life is too short for anything else.
A HUGE thank you to Kayla of Kayla Koslow Photography for second shooting with me this weekend. Girl, you were a life saver! I love your sense of humor, your photography, and your cat herding ability!
