Personal | Noah the German Shepherd | 2019
I’ve gone back and forth for a LONG time about getting a dog. I always knew I would get a GSD, I just never felt that the time was right. We had Heidi, the most amazing shepherd growing up, so the breed was always an easy choice. I had originally wanted a female, but this little boy has completely stolen my heart. His breeder sent my photos every week from the day he was born, so I got to watch this him grow and mature since day one. I opted to pick him up at 9 weeks, to give him more time to be with his mom, and also because I spent the week prior working on a farm in upstate New York! But that is a story for a future blog post.
Noah is so smart and has already learned multiple commands. He may or may not be allowed to sleep in my bed, and absolutely loves making new friends! I’m fairly certain that my phones camera roll is entirely Noah photos, but here are some that I took two days after I brought him home!
We are working on crate training, and while it didn’t start off so well, he is getting use to it! He is also such a cuddler, and Mr. Pup is a favourite of his!
I could go on and on about this little love bug, and I hope you enjoy this 9 week old floof fluff!
Oh, and for those curious as to how I picked his name. Besides Noah being a biblical name, I fell in love with it after I saw “The Notebook.” I always knew if I had a boy someday, I would name him Noah. Well, I have my boy, and although not the human variety, he’s my baby nonetheless!
