Last night, for the first time in what seems like forever, I took my time to focus on being in the present moment. Like most creative's, my mind is always going a million miles an hour, thinking of all the things I should and need to be doing, along with crafting all sorts of ideas for this business of mind in my head. It gets exhausting. REALLY QUICK. With wedding season starting for me next week, I realized that I have not taken the time to enjoy my down time. I find myself in a constant state of "go, go, go." And that will leave anyone feeling drained an uninspired. So last night, I stepped back, let the chickens roam free, and grabbed my camera. I noticed a patch of these gorgeous purple flowers (I'm sorry, I have no idea what they are called!) I got down in the dirt, and had a blast. The chickens were curious what their crazy human was up to, so they came over to say hi as well.
Friends, it was so nice to relax, breathe in the smells of spring, and just BE. No matter the season you are in, I hope you find the time to do the same. Cheers!
